Is Resonance A Plague Tale Legacy on Game Pass? (Status & Platforms)
Updated
Yes, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is on Xbox Game Pass, available day one at launch on August 27, 2026. It's also Xbox Play Anywhere compatible, so one purchase (or one Game Pass subscription) covers both Xbox and Windows PC. ## Game Pass Day One
Focus Entertainment confirmed the game is available day one on Xbox Game Pass. That means:
- Xbox Series X|S subscribers can download and play at no extra cost on launch day.
- PC Game Pass subscribers get it through the Windows/Xbox app.
There's no waiting period, it's a true day-one release, not a late addition to the catalog.
Xbox Play Anywhere Support
Resonance supports Xbox Play Anywhere. Buy the digital Xbox version once and you own it on both Xbox and Windows PC, with cross-save progress and achievements shared between the two. This is a notable perk for a single-player game, letting you move between console and PC seamlessly.
What's Included vs. What's Not
Game Pass gives you the base game. The Heritage Pack DLC ($3.99) is generally not included in the subscription, you'd buy it separately if you want the Minos sword, Alec's pendant, and digital art (unconfirmed, verify in the Xbox store).
The Collector's Box (figurine, SteelBook, art prints, replica ring) is a separate physical product and has nothing to do with Game Pass.
Is It on Other Subscriptions?
Resonance is not on PlayStation Plus, it's an Xbox/PC Game Pass title. On PC, you can also buy it outright on Steam or Epic. Game Pass is simply the cheapest way to try it if you already subscribe.
Bottom Line
If you have Game Pass, you can play Resonance right now for free. If you don't, the game is $49.99 on Steam (digital) or $59.99 physical on console. For a day-one AAA-style action-adventure, the Game Pass inclusion makes this one of the lowest-risk ways to jump into the Plague Tale universe.
