The Opening: Venice and the Escape
The game opens with Sophia and her companion Leni as part of a bandit crew led by Faro. What should have been the heist of a lifetime goes wrong, and the pair flee Venice. The first chapters establish combat fundamentals: parrying, dodging, kicking to break guard, and the Critical Strike (see the parry guide for timing). Chapter 1 ends with a pit fight against a mercenary, tutorializing posture breaks.
Chapter 2, "Felons," sends Sophia and Leni to infiltrate a carnival in Venice, a mission with disastrous consequences. This is where the stealth-and-disguise beats show up, and where you first see the crew's internal tensions around Faro's leadership.
Reaching Minotaur Island
By Chapter 3, "Those Before Us," Sophia and Leni dock in a cave and examine Sophia's notebook, a book of maps, Faro's sketches, and key diagrams. They deduce that the key is a sphere, unlock the capsule, and set out across the island. From here the walkthrough splits between surface exploration and the island's underground light-puzzle trials.
The middle chapters (4–7) alternate between Sophia's medieval timeline and the Minoan past. You'll complete the island's Trials, underground gauntlets built around the Minoan sphere's light puzzles, while uncovering what happened to the civilization that built them.
The Trials and Light Puzzles
Each Trial is a puzzle-and-combat sequence (see the gameplay guide for the full systems). The sphere's light manipulation is central: refract beams, carry light through dark corridors, and use Light Concentrate to burn enemies or clear obstacles. If a door won't open, trace the light source and check your notebook for the relevant diagram.
Late-game enemies include reanimated corpses that must be stunned with a full stagger meter, then decapitated with a Critical Strike before being burned in light. These fights combine every mechanic you've learned, so keep your parries sharp.
The Dual Timeline and Ending
The back half (chapters 8–14) leans hard into the parallel story. As Theseus, a Minoan warrior, you fight the ancient evil behind the curse; as Sophia, you confront the truth of her past and the creature hiding behind the myth. The two threads converge around the Macula and the legend of the Minotaur, leading to the game's ending in "What Remains."
Walkthrough Tips
- Check the notebook, it holds the clues for puzzles and side objectives.
- Grab collectibles per chapter, Charms, Blades, and Artefacts are missable.
- Respec before bosses, Resonance Points are refundable outside combat.
- Watch for sword tombs, off-path monuments hide new blades.
