Arnaud

Arnaud is a battle-worn knight in A Plague Tale: Requiem who becomes one of Amicia's reluctant allies. Once a soldier of high standing, he lost his rank and his name to disgrace, and now drifts through the world as a sword for hire.

Who Is Arnaud

Arnaud is introduced as a hardened mercenary working for the Count of Provence's forces. Scarred and cynical, he has little patience for Amicia and Hugo at first, and treats their quest as a job rather than a cause. Beneath the armor, however, he is driven by the need to reclaim some shred of honor.

His Role in the Story

Over the course of Requiem, Arnaud moves from reluctant escort to genuine companion. He fights alongside Amicia in several of the game's most dangerous confrontations, and his experience with war and weapons makes him a valuable ally. His loyalty is hard-won, but once earned, he proves willing to put himself at risk for the de Runes.
